
Our shops are stocked with a great selection of kit to suit everyone. All our stores have Hardtail and Road bikes to hire, in addition, our Glentress Peel, Innerleithen, Fort William and Nevis Range stores offer a selection of Full Suspension, Downhill and Freeride bikes to hire.
If you are looking to try before you buy, Demo bikes are also available at these locations. All our staff are regular riders and can advise in suitable bikes and routes/trails in the area.

- Hardtail: £20 per day eg: Trek 4900 or 6300
- Road Bike: £20 per day eg: Trek 1.5
- Helmets: No extra cost
Booking
Advance booking is highly recommended. Contact any store by phone or by visiting our shop to book your hire or demo bike. Once you've chosen your preferred model our mechanics will give the bike a thorough safety check and set up the bike to fit you. When you come to collect the bike, please bring:
- 1 photographic form of ID (for example – drivers’ licence, passport)
- 1 credit or debit card.
You will also be asked to fill out a disclaimer form. If you have any questions about the hire/demo bike, feel free to ask any member of Alpine Bikes staff.
Glentress / Innerleithen
The Tweed Valley is the showcase of the world famous 7 Stanes trails courses. Glentress Peel is regularly voted the best trail centre in the UK. It has brilliant trails of all grades so there is something for all the family.
Innerleithen offers a cracking red-graded XC route and some of the best demanding downhill tracks in Scotland. Whether you are a weekend rider or the most dedicated downhiller, we have a full range of hire and demo bikes available for you at our Glentress Peel and Innerleithen Stores that will let you explore and enjoy all these trails.
Glentress
- Hardtail: £20 per day (Eg: Genesis Core 20 or Trek 6300)
- Full suspension: £50 per day (Eg: Trek EX5)
- Demo: £50 – fully refundable if bike is purchased within 30 days of hire (Trek Remedy 8 )
Glentress only:
- Kids £15 per day (24” wheels and below)
- Tag Along £15 per day
- Trailer £15 per day
- Helmets: No extra charge
Fort William & The Nevis Range
Fort William is the outdoor capital of the UK. It offers some of the best nature trails in Scotland. It is also at the end of the Great Glen Way, a fantastic waymarked trail from Fort William to Inverness.
Nevis Range is the Home of this most difficult downhill course on the World Championship racing calendar. Trails rides also go through the family friendly forrest track. Alpine Bikes are situated on Fort William High Street as well as at the Nevis Range base station:

The Great Glen Way:
With bike hire available at Fort William and Inverness we have availability for one way hire. We offer a one way bike hire picking up or dropping off at either our Fort William or Inverness shops. The hire includes a rear rack and panniers plus a complete repair kit.
