Alpine Bikes was founded in Aberdeen in the 1989 by Dave McKay. Since the beginning Alpine Bikes offered not only the best bikes, cycle clothing and accessories but provided an unrivalled level of customer service and aftercare.

Alpine Bikes is now the biggest independent cycle retailer in Scotland and we still pride ourselves on offering exceptional service as well as quality and value. We have built strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure we can pass on the best and most varied products to you, the customer. Initially starting with mountain bikes, our product line up now includes all kinds of bikes from the following brands:

Add to this an exceptional clothing and accessories line up, you can be sure we will have the right kit to get you out on the trails, tackling road races or just getting to work every morning.

Alpine Bikes is now in its 19th year and developing further still through its stores all over Scotland.

Through Alpine's growth we have recognised that each of the stores has a different customer base – this, in turn, creates a different feel and personality to each Alpine store. Every aspect of cycling is catered for - from downhill racing and extreme cross country at Innerleithen, to mile munching road bikes at the Glasgow Outdoor Experience to the reliability of a solid commuter bike in our Edinburgh store.
